St. Augustine of Canterbury Anglican Church is a member of the third largest Christian Denomination in the world. As Anglicans we share a common belief (as expressed in our liturgy and the 39 Articles of Religion) with over 80 million believers worldwide. Each Anglican diocese (in our case, the Anglican Diocese of the Living Word) is headed by a bishop in direct Apostolic Succession from the early church. The focus of Anglican unity is the Archbishop of Canterbury who is our spiritual head.
St. Augustine Church is a small, pastoral sized church serving the people of Loudoun County and beyond. We passionately defend orthodox Christian beliefs and maintain a traditional form of worship that would be familiar to many of the founders of the United States (over half of the founding fathers of this nation were Anglican).
We set aside time daily for traditional Anglican devotionals, and we meet as a community on Sundays to participate in the Lord’s Supper (at a rented church building at 712 Dry Mill Road in Leesburg).
